Help failed to play file!

Someone smarter than me please explain to me why I drag and drop songs from iTunes onto my SD card and some work and some don't. At first I thought it was bc the songs that weren't working were in .m4a and not in.mp3 so I went through and changed all the songs I wanted to put on my card to .mp3 and they still don't work, it says the tag can't be read when I use the stock player, and when I use mixzing, but when I use poweramp it says failed to play file, either way it's not working, and this is bothering me, whats the deal, please help me figure out how to fix this, thanks.

The songs might be copy protected. Or try editing the tags on your computer, they might be using the older format.

If your error is the player can't read the tags.. I'd suggest editing those tags. At least edit one that you received that error on and then try playing it again. If that doesn't cure your problem then it is a protection or corruption problem.. or perhaps not a good conversion from .m4a to .mp3.

I'll try editing the tags, I manually went through and changed like 200 songs thinking that would fix it, lol, sometimes its easy just not that easy I guess

There is free software to be found that will help you through that tag naming process. I guess I'm a little late on offering up that information.. sorry. I had a lot of oldies I collected through the years that either had no tags or they weren't reflective of the exact file.. artist, title, track, album, genre, etc. I had so many to rename that it was a must to find a tool to help. I hope fixing your tags fixed your problem.

I thought I would offer up the editors I used... just in case you or others are still in need. As far as I know they are still free. I used flash renamer to correct the file names into a consistant naming scheme and then mp3tag to add or correct tags from that naming scheme.
I'm certain there are other progams that work equally as well or perhaps better but the two mentioned changed my trashed library into something I enjoy daily.
