Help Failnt red light when charging

Hey guys, I just got my rezound about 3 days ago, coming from the razr. I love how it feels! its a great phone and im glad to be back with HTC.

Heres what i noticed...i ended up rebooting the phone and it went away but wanting to know if anyone has run into this.

I was charging the phone last night, from 30%, it wasnt hot while charging (temp on battery), and the little light by the front facing camera was orange. But here is the thing. Right above the left "\" of the "V" logo on top of the screen, there was a faint lerd light coming from it. I thought it was a reflection so i turned off all the lights and still saw it. It was barley noticable.

Has anyone run into this? if so, does it mean something in particular??

I believe it is the proximity sensor. The proximity sensor uses infrared light to determine when you put the phone up to your head to talk during a phone call. Sometimes infrared lights are visible to humans as faint red light(some of the light emitted is red). Most digital cameras can actually see infrared with no problem at all. I have an experiment for you:

1. Make a call that wont be interrupted on your Rezound(like voice mail or a friend).

2.While in the call, use another phone's camera to look at the same spot on the Rezound that you saw the red light. If you don't have another phone, you can start the Rezound's own camera app and use the front facing camera and a mirror(remember the image will be mirrored).

3. You should see a whitish red dot where you saw the faint red light before. kinda cool.

I don't know why your proximity sensor was on with no phone call but that seems like the most likely cause. Things probably got messed up and a reboot fixed it.
