I can imagine several people being called up on the carpet for that little faux-pas, just before showing them the door.

That has to be fake stone or the deck would have already given up. The fake stuff still weighs far too much to be sitting on that deck structure. Fail!!
My son attended a party while in his teens. They were all on the deck and it gave it up. At least there were just people falling down and not a fireplace.

Particularly when the chimney above the roofline is 1/3 wider than the chimney below, I have to wonder who they thought they were impressing. A neighbor with chimney envy?
