I'll agree with your thought on that. I've always recommended leaving it upright at least 48 hours.

I have never had to lay one down. Google suggested the time frame. It would be far better to error on the extended time if there was a question. The manufacturer might suggest an idle time for the heavy oil to resettle. Human ratchet straps seldom work out and shouldn't have been a transport consideration.

I think this a clever (and funny) reuse, and I hope it’s properly sealed from the other side.
Not sure how you could easily mount a screen, though.

A few miles from here is a house using an old dryer by the road, big street number on each side. Their mailbox is attached to the top of the dryer. Packages too large for the mailbox can be put into the dryer.

Useless and far from attractive in my opinion. The railing is the epic fail. It comes up short of meeting code.
