Fake Location

Signorino

Lurker
Hello,
I'm trying to change my current location on my phone. I turned on mock locations, I downloaded a "Fake GPS" app, but it still isn't working, the phone still says I'm at my home. However, I don't really know what I'm doing. For instance, I have no idea whether or not I should turn my phone's GPS on. I tried both on and off, it didn't work either way. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Sorry, I posted this in the completely wrong section of the forums and I don't know how to delete it.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! :)

If you've enabled location settings, then it will get your location from the network and not GPS. I'm not really sure how to spoof a network location though. Why do you need to change your phone's location?

Hey there and welcome to Android Forums. :)

Glad to have ya here!

You could try closing the app completely, turning gps on and then reopening.

Wow I really dropped the ball on this reply, sorry this took so long. I'm trying to fake another app into thinking I'm in a different place. I tried turning the app off, turning on GPS, then reopening it, it still isn't tricking the other app. Any other suggestions?

Yeah, after I realized that I had posted this in the wrong section of the forums, I reposted it in the apps section, and no one knew what to do there either. Thanks anyway.
