Help False Taps

Anyone else experience this problem with an LG Volt LS740? Frequently when I press the power button to unlock the screen, not only does the screen unlock but I get a false tap at a random location on the screen. Sometimes it opens apps that I dont want opened. Sometimes it causes a phone # to be dialed that I dont want to dial. How do you make this stop?

Android Version 4.4.2
Software Version LS740ZV6.

The only issue I've noticed like that for me anyways is due to the screen sensitivity, if even a micron of sweat is on the screen it freaks out.
