Fancy Widget vs. Beautiful Widgets - FullScreen Anime

I bought my eris back in November, it was the first app I ever bought.

Just curious if either of the two has a forecast animation when you unlock it, similar to the HTC Sense UI?

Yes BW has animations and it also has a live weather wall paper.

Interesting. I don't see it there anymore. I actually found it a few days ago on the market. When I went to install at the time, it said it wasn't available for download. It didn't load until today when I installed updates. :|

have anyone tried the beautiful widgets live wallpaper? it's pretty cool i'm debating on weather or not to purchase it?

yeah if you already bought BW then the live wallpaper is free. It can be downloaded from the settings screen in BW

Well HTC did have a sun ray effect for sunny. Curious to see the rain and snow effects. Hopefully the snow accumulates.

The new BW full screen animation on unlock is no good. There is a slight lag. It's only the top half of the screen. If you want it to stop and go into an app, you have to double click the app. 1st press stops the animation, 2nd press opens app. I tuned it off after a few minutes of playing with it. I might turn it back on during a thunderstorm to see if it's anywhere as cool as HTC Sence on my Eris was, but I doubt it will be.

BW will always be compared to HTC Sence, and will always be one step behind. It's still the best clock/weather widget in the Market, but it's just not Sence

I think it worked good actually. I was just about to post about checking the 'forecast open effect' box to get the Sense like animation

I see what you mean about tapping twice to open an app, that kinda sucks

You only get the rain animation when you click the widget and the weather screen opens. I wish someone would just copy the sense animation

FW is as close to the Sense experience as you can get, I think. It has the H7C skins for clock and weather which are pretty much the same as the Sense & has the weather animations when you unlock as well as going into the 5 day forecast through the widget. It does the windshield wiper thing, too. I've had it for a little while now and I prefer it to BW. I know that BW did have some HTC skins but were asked by HTC to remove them. Just my 2 cents.

BTW, Beautiful Widgets now has full screen animation as well. I like BW better than FW, but to each thier own.

Fancy Widgets 3.0 released recently, I think it is much better than Beautiful Widgets now. The new version has more weather providers and add multiple location support for both clock and weather.

I have to agree. I own both BW and FW and FW has become my go to. I also have weatherbug elite so I like Fancy even more as it will use the WB servers.
