Fantastic earpiece sound quality

I thought my Palm Pre had excellent sound quality.
But the Epic sound is phenomenal.
I talk with my girlfriend every night and last night I heard tons of background noise from her 10 year old cordless phone.
I never heard any of it before.
I actually thought I might have a defective Epic, but today I made other calls and the Epic is outstanding.
Actually every aspect of the phone is outstanding.

Totally agree! It makes my EVO sound like a tin can and a piece of string.

Not only is the sound quality excellent, its LOUD, as is the speaker phone.
To me this is a VERY important feature for a cell phone, since most of the time you're not in a quite environment.

Agreed. Blows away the sound quality I had on my BB Curve, which I thought was pretty decent. Also agree with OP that "every aspect of the phone is outstanding".

Really? You don't think it sounds more digital? Aside from being louder is it really better?

What earpiece are you using exactly?

Is anyone using a wired earpice with mic that they love and works on the Epic?

I agree with the op. I know that some Epic users are having issues with their sound quality. My sound quality is so amazing that I can't help but think that those who are having issues with poor sound quality may have defective phones. Honestly the sound quality is better on my Epic than the sound quality I've experienced on any mobile or land line phone I've ever had.

My hi-fi hearing got blown away back in my army days, so I may not be the best judge of whether it sounds more "digital". But I did listen to all my favorite songs (cranked as loud as I could take it) on the flight home on Friday and I was quite impressed. Sounded just as good as when I play them from my laptop or any other device.

Honestly I love my Epic but I feel the Evo had better sound quality. There are a few times with my epic that I get "buzz" feed back.

Yes I agree. My Evo had terrible sound quality, very raspy compared to the Epic. The Epic is very loud and crisp sounding.
