Fascinate for $.01 on Amazon with new activation.

read the fineprint, beware, same with wirefly, the mousetype on wirefly says they can ding your debit/credit card for the full retail price of the phone if you change anything on your plan in 6 months....buyer beware, read the fine print, not sure if this is the same deal but that seems to be how most of these "too good to be true" offers work, they bank on you changing your calling plan and then you get hit with several hundred dollars in charges per the agreement

This is Amazon's policy (from wireless.amazon.com faqs):
This discount has been provided to you based on your agreement to (a) activate a new, or extend an existing, line of service for this device with the carrier, and (b) maintain this service in good standing for a minimum of 181 consecutive days. If you do not activate or extend a line of service in connection with this device, or if your service is canceled/disconnected before 181 consecutive days, AmazonWireless.com will charge you $250 per device, plus applicable taxes.

I think the policy allows the customer change calling plans, but does require the customer to maintain the service for six months. Not a problem for most, I think. Experimenters need not apply.

Through tomorrow night, new Amazon/Verizon customers are getting a billing discount of $30 per line activated. So, penny phones without activation fee (at least if one is ordering two phones).

This thread may be moot. Amazon's shipping time has gone from a free immediate two-day delivery to a one-to-two-month delay on delivery. I guess if you don't need the phone for a while, it's a good deal.

And now (10/1), there are none. Amazon's page states that the phone is not currently available from Amazon. However, Amazon Wireless still lists the Fascinate for a penny with shipping in one to two weeks. Weird.
