Root Fascinate lost orientation ability

All was fine until yesterday.

Only new app loaded was an FAA aircraft search utility and I can't see how that would effect anything.

When using the phone feature, and texting, the phone no longer reacts to being turned horizontal so that the Swype keyboard is easier to use.

I have big fingers that cover two of the Portrait keys at a time. I need the Landscape mode. Alas, I can find nothing about a feature to turn off the auto-sense for orientation.

Phone has not been dropped. It is in an Ottobox with the rubber liner.

EDIT: Found it...

Somehow, in "Sounds & Display", scrolling way down where I never go, somehow, the Auto Switch check mark got removed. Must be playing with the phone in my sleep, or the little green gremlins got in there while I was not looking.

At the least, maybe this post will help someone.

Sorry for using the bandwidth.

I was gonna suggest you go to that exact spot because that just happened to me last week.. I thought i turned it off in one of my drunken stupors. . lol

But yea, it was annoying to have to text and type in the vertical view with my oversized fingers.

You might be accidentally toggling it from your 'shade' pull down. It is the last button on the right, next to Data.
