fascinate needs help!

ok, so i have had this phone since black friday last year. i rooted it with super user in february of this year. it worked great, but then after an update from vzw last month, my root was gone, but the superuser app is still on my phone. i want to remove it as i no longer need the root. after the same update i have had battery problems. there are days when the battery charges fine and i have great life all day, but other days all i have to do is remove it from the charge cable and it loses 5%. i could not touch my phone for hours, and the % goes down more and more. i am also having a problem with my phone randomly lighting up for no reason and not turning back off till i press the side button. its rather annoying and i need help! please help...thanks all!
