Help Fascinate Replacement

So I just got my reconditioned replacement Fascinate to hopefully have a working GPS. I was wondering if I can somehow test the GPS on the phone without activating the phone in case the GPS is no different. I would prefer to keep my original phone. As soon as I turned it on it asks for a language and to activate. If not can I activate and then deactivate it go back to my old phone?

If you simply set up a google account for the phone, GPS Test in the market will work for a test app.

If you want to side load it, pull it down on your active phone and place it on the sd card of the replacement.

Thanks for the response. The only problem is I can't get passed the activation screen to get to the main interface.
