Help Fascinate stuck in "Desk Cradle"

I took my Samsung Fascinate into a Best Buy today for a charger issue, and when I got the phone back, it seems to be stuck in the Desk Cradle app. Or more precisely, when I hit the Home soft key, it takes me to the Desk Cradle, rather than the page with all my widgets like it used to do. If I hit the soft key that take you back a step, it does take me back to my true home page. Of course, I shouldn't have to do that.

I've tried pulling the battery, but for some reason, the default is the desk cradle for the Home soft key now. I've gone into task killer, and killed the desk cradle, but guess what happens when you hit the home soft key AFTER killing the desk cradle? Yep, you guessed it, it takes me right back to desk cradle.

Anybody know how to default this evil desk cradle????

@tjbugs1: Sorry for being a newbie, but what does "rooted" mean? I know for the first 4 weeks of using the phone, there was never an issue with this. Now, kaboom! Don't know what to do.

@ryank262: No magnets at all. I usually just pocket it in my pants or in a coat.

Rooting is like jailbreaking, it basically means giving yourself superuser access on the phone. It allows you to do things like remove pre-installed software, install other roms and even overclock the phone just to name a few. Like takeshi said you would know if you had done this.

I think I'll try to pay Best Buy a visit and see if they can undo what they did. Don't know if they did on purpose, or was an accident. Just plain weird. I thought I was pretty good at intuitively figuring things out by poking around sub menus, but I just can't for the life of me figure out how to make desk cradle NOT my home page.
