Root fastboot mode and hboot flashing? :/

hi all,

ok im now s-off :) that was easy with Rev.

have copied the cm7v2 .img file to sd card

did back button plus power for fastboot - but now not sure what to do :/

i sort of expected fastboot to give me a black command line screen so i could type in the hboot flash commands :/ have i got this wrong?

.....or is it just a mode toggle selection?

....ah - does the phone have to be sat on the fastboot screen, and then i do the commands from pc - or run android flasher etc?

Congratulations on s-off Dan....
To flash a new h boot I done it using Android flasher with the phone connected to the PC on fast boot mode

You can also use cmd line but o found the flasher the easiest way to go

You dont put the hboot on sd card. You put it on C: drive. Like Paul says, you use command prompt. Please read my fastboot faq. All is explained there

If you're going to use flasher, thats all you need. Whatever is packaged with its download.
 
question:

does my UOT kitchen cm7 theme sit outside the rom area of memory? just wondering if i shouldnt flash it :/
i think it sits in normal app area as when i install one each time that space went down - but not sure

a*se - stuck on htc screen after boot flash :( :(

....do i try and force powerdown - wipte etc...... :/

pulled battery - recovery - going for full wipe and rom flash

....also going for pair of pants number 2!! :o :D
 
F'me that was scary! :o :D

cm7 flashed back - seemed to take longer to sort it self out on htc screen after flash - but eventually came good

over 200mb free! :D cool and the gang :)
