Root faster 3G speeds

im currently running ctmod 3.68 and my 3G speeds are fair is there anything i can do to have faster 3G speeds. for stuff like downloading apps/music a slight boost would help

Well, from my own experiences and from researching a lot, your best bet is :

Find out where your carrier ( Boost ) has put up their best and newest tower, whicj is only used by a small handful of people, than move close to this location !!

Seriously, there are maybe a few tweaks around and they might or might not help, but generally speaking I believe there is not much more in CTMod ( or any other ROM ) you can do to "REALLY" increase speed !!! In my opinion, it depends on the tower and how many people are using the tower at the same time !!! I live close ( maybe 700ft away) to one of two towers in my town and I get crap speed as well !!

But there are always things you can try !!

Living 2 close to a tower is just as bad as living 2 far away. I can't count the times I've heard of someone living right by a tower and their signal was crappy.

That can very well be......... but in my case, it really makes no difference where I am at in this town.......close to the tower or maybe 3 miles away, my speed is just plain crap.....From 6am in the morning till like night at 1am I am just getting 150 - 350 !!! Between 2am and 5am, if I am lucky, I can get 600-800 !! I tried everything possible, but nothing helped !!! Always the same !

yea definitely agree that CT speeds are amazing then most of my other roms but yea i guess the tower can act up sometime so I just wait till the 1x turns back to 3G

Woah! Mine could sometimes nearly break 100 even. XP i live next to three towers. To the east. To the west. And then to the south.
