i used PlayfulGods CM
its pretty slim and zippy
though it has an issue with the backlight not going conpletly off

Well, I have used a bunch. Playful gods is the best and stable.

I think that was BobzHome's that had a backlight issue

They all had a backlight issue unless you use a baseless by johnny over it...

All the Motion ROMs are good... I'd personally recommend that you further research the ROMs available and then try a few out, each one for a couple days at minimum and then find out which one suits you the best for performance, stability and fits your preference/user habits.
I would also do the same for some of the kernel's.
A good combination of a ROM and kernel can make a huge difference... Night and Day.
I personally really like PlayfulGods CM10 and I also like johnny1111s Dirty Unicorns baseless port.
