fastest way to change to vibrate/silent?

Hi, I am wondering if there is a fastest way or widget to change the sound to vibrate and silent instead of pressing the volume button?

From the phone being off, I'd think the fastest way would be to tap a button to wake the phone up then hold the power button until the choices pop-up and select from there. Otherwise, you're waking the phone, swiping the screen then selecting your widget. So probably about the same except one is already built in. Although, I think the last time I used a widget, you had to cycle through the settings whereas the power button trick pulls them all up in one glance.

Even opening the homescreen from sleep and pulling down the notification bar takes time but its accessible from there.

For my S3, I could change it to vibrate when pulling down the notification bar, but not for my note 2. I am guessing it's because it's jelly bean got rid of the option to change it.

Wow, the notification pull down is a great thing. Coming from an iphone4 this is so much more useful. I like the stop start for podcast - brilliant

Extended Controls widgets...there's a button for vibrate/silent you can put on homescreen. Fastest way.

I'm on the US Tmo version and I can scroll the widget bar in notifications left and right to find the sound control.

Hmmm... as much as I want to stay with Sprint and keep my unlimited plan, I may defect to AT&T for the scroll bar. We need to find out more about why Sprint version doesn't have it.

I'll try to call tomorrow, but not sure if I'll have time at work.

You would change carriers over a scrollbar? There are hundreds of sound profile widgets in the Play Store for free. They will give you one touch access to changing your sound profile both from a widget and from the notification bar.

Not just the scrollbar, no..lol That's kind of like the icing on the cake for me. When you add this to no SVDO and other differences and it adds up.

Wow, no love huh? I've personally never had a question go unanswered or issue go unresolved for long at Sprint. Techs have always gone above and beyond when looking for answers and/or solutions. It isn't always right away, but it always happens, and has since the beginning.
