Valerie Mahaffey, perhaps best known for her roles in Young Sheldon and Northern Exposure (for which she won an Emmy) and Big Sky, died on May 30. No cause of death was noted, though she had been diagnosed with cancer. She was 71.

RIP, Ms. Mahaffey, and thanks for sharing your talents. Condolences to your fans, friends, family and loved ones.

I read somewhere that Paul McCartney once said that the Beach Boy's song "God Only Knows" was the greatest song ever written. That's one hell of a statement from one of the greatest composers / lyricist of our time. RIP Brian and thank you for so many great tunes.
