How awful! I did enjoy KOTH, though my wife doesn't. RIP, Mr. Joss, with deep condolences to your fans, friends, family and loved ones. Thanks for adding some levity to our lives.
 
Valerie Mahaffey, perhaps best known for her roles in Young Sheldon and Northern Exposure (for which she won an Emmy) and Big Sky, died on May 30. No cause of death was noted, though she had been diagnosed with cancer. She was 71.

RIP, Ms. Mahaffey, and thanks for sharing your talents. Condolences to your fans, friends, family and loved ones.

Speaking of Beach Boys My father on one rare occasion, my mother joined him in concert and just sat there and photographing him with Beach Boys up on the stage and singing their tunes.. Before they where famous.
 
Whats crazy is when Fred pitched his idea for FedEx in a economics class while attending college at Yale the professor told him it would never work. If you can dream it...you can do it.

One of the most respected Christian pastors, John MacArthur, has succumbed to pneumonia at 86.

I stumbled across his radio ministry many, many years ago and at a time when I was struggling with many things. His teaching was one of the keys that helped me redirect my life.

I could say so much more, but I won't, for two reasons. First, the obituary piece below is outstanding.

And second, John would probably have admonished along the lines of "thanks, but I was just following Christ."

Thanks, John. You've run the race to the end; enjoy the new home. Condolences to your flock, friends, family and loved ones. I look forward to meeting you someday.

Former NFL player Bryan Braman, who played for the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles (helping them win the Super Bowl), died Thursday, July 17 from a rare and aggressive form of cancer. He was just 38.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, probably best known as "Theo" in "The Cosby Show," has drowned off the coast of Costa Rica after being caught in a rip current. He was 54.

I was and am a huge Black Sabbath fan. My best memory of the group was I saw them in Wichita Kansas in the winter of 70-71. They were the warm up group for Mountain. They warmed it up so that when Mountain came out they were a let down.... which wasn't all bad :) I had to drive back to college following the concert.

Ozzy was one of those once in a generation artist like Prince, Elvis, as time goes on we are left with no talented crap.
 
I still listen to all of Black Sabbath and Ozzy's albums, I still always will treasure my friends holding an Ozzmosis album in their fingertips,
I remember getting my copy of one and as well as several other albums of his, and still have 13 - one of Black Sabbath's later on album.
No words can ever replace him as a father either.
