Philanthropist Morris Kahn has died, presumably from old age, at 95. A creative guy with lots of money, in his later years he focused on philanthropy particularly in the fields of science and medicine.

RIP, Mr. Kahn, with thanks for all you tried to do. Condolences to your friends, family and loved ones.

RIP to the many dead in the wake of the tragic fire that erupted at a bar as mostly young people celebrated the New Year in Crans-Montana in the Swiss Alps. I keep thinking of the many families shattered by this event, including those who will have long recoveries from serious burn injuries.
