Favorite App so far.... Developers please see link to Announcements above.

Charging overvoltage can lead to a battery fire.

Current supply of 500 to 1000 mA (1 A) is fine, and ought present no issues.

Let's please move back on-topic, cheers, thanks! :)

Express News - Simple to use, lots of variety. Great to catch up on news.
Pulse - Another "news" program with a very nice UI and selection
TuneIn Raido Pro - Great for talk/news radio junkies. Has FM stations as well.
Scanner Radio - if you like to listen to your police/fire department traffic.
Apps Organizer - Android should have this as a stock program. It organizes apps into folders.
Wiz Kid Jr. Jewel like game with a nice twist. Very addicting.
Camera Fun Pro - has nice presets when taking pictures like X-ray view, night vision, distorting mirrors, etc.
Wifi Analyzer - Great to see if your wifi channels are interfering with your neighbors.
City State ID - Caller Id program. No monthly charges.
Join.Me - lets you view other peoples PC (https://join.me) Simple and effective
RPNCalc - It's the best rpn calculator out there!
Swiftkey X - I love swype. But I couldn't use swype, swiftkey is scary good!
B-Folders - great password app. IMO better than 1Password or SplashID. It syncs via Wifi. UI isn't the prettiest, but it's more functional than the others.

And of course, Amazon's Appstore app. I love getting all the paid apps for free!!

Webkey (ROOT REQUIRED) | AppBrain Android Market

I was just out to lunch, stopped at 2 places, got back to work and noticed my phone missing... Befoe I headed out to check the 2 places, I pulled up Webkey on my PC. Saw my homescreen, turn on GPS, and saw my phone on a map out in front of my business... I looked all over my car and finally found it in a crack next to the passenger seat. WOW! It also does lots of other neat stuff.

I accidently deleted a widget or app off my home screen. I don't know the name of it. It allowed me to display my signal strength, battery level, time and date. BUT,,,When i touch the battery icon, for example, it would launch an app. Touch date, It would launch another app. It was my favorite app! I know it now, since i lost it. WILL TRADE KID'S! LOL TIA :)

New awesome app. Well the app probably isn't new, but I just got an account. It is the box.net app. It is like dropbox, but box.net normally gives you 5GB instead of 2GB from Dropbox. Right now if you activate a new box.net account from the iOS app you get 50GB of cloud storage free for life!

box.net app

The UI is very similar to Dropbox and all the functionality is the same, just a lot more free storage.

So I could activate a new account from a friends iphone or ipad? Is there any other way to get the 50gb like, I don't know, through an iOS emulator(if there is such a thing?

One feature I like about Dropbox is it's usage on my PC or Android phone. I didn't see any reference to this type of functionality when I visited Box.net's site. Does it exist?

Yes, I have already activated accounts for a couple forum members that have PM'd me an email address and they now have 50GB. I have no idea if there is any other way to get the 50GB free.

Hi

thanks for bringing this topic up to live. my 5 cents:

If you could also share the way you organize your device's desktops (phone/tab) - would be also very nice and useful.

I am going to use Samsung S II phone soon but for now just want to share with you my 10.1 tablet setup. I am using two desktops.

Main:

weather, processes, and some custom apps:
  • Screen filter: dimming the screen by requested value (on/off by pressing the icon) - useful for night reading & probably for battery life
  • Audiogalaxy: for music streaming, I am hosting my private Cloud with mp3's + widget on the screen
  • PowerAMP - offline mp3 player - during my tests + widget on the screen
  • Dolphin Browser HD: many of you suggested to use thus I am testing right now. Looks quite nice; just gestures could be better
  • Pulse: for news and google reader feeds, so far so good; can't find any button to "mark as read" everything - instead of clicking on every headline :(

and one with some business tools / emails / calendar:

  • gmail: internal gmail client + widget
  • email: internal email client with Exchange account sych. + widget
  • 5 VPN: free app for storing vpn password (app is just copy your vpn pass and you can paste it when connecting to a sever)
  • Touchdown: exchange client to synchronize everything, now testing the trial version - probably will go with full license soon as it works great
  • Business Calendar: great app synchronizing both gmail and exchange calendars + great widget (the biggest I found on the market with full month view)
  • Notes : internal app for notes
  • 2x Client: for RDP connections - works really nice
  • Dropbox: also a great app for easy file sharing
  • Google Docs: access to my google docs
  • Thinking Space: for mind maps; not really user friendly interface, probably will find smth else
  • SwiFTP: FTP server on the device to upload files
  • Skype

other apps on the device:
  • Booking.com: for hotel bookings while traveling
  • ghost commander: total commander
  • GoToMeeting: for connecting to online meetings, unfortunately on android I can only connect to GoToMeetings not for GoToWebinars or GoToTrainigs. IOS does :) both Android and IOS cannot host meetings just join
  • IMDb: great movie site
  • Last.fm: for listen songs scrobbling, works with my audiogalaxy app
  • MoboPlayer: for playing movies with subs, I don't know yet what to thing about it
  • SoundHound: recognize songs
  • Speed Test: for network speed check
  • Wifi Analyzier: great app for analyzing strength of a signal + proper channel selection to avoid to much network interference

that's it for now folks!

cheers
bart
