People seem to have a lot of divergent opinions on which browser to use, but I'd like to get more information. Please post your reasons for liking the browser of your choice.

I'll start--I like Chrome due to the ability to sync with my Chrome desktop browser.

I second that . Google chrome is the best due to the fact of speed and not so long to load up the theme.

My vote goes to Firefox. It's been the best fit for me.

Basically anything but stock browser would do though.

Over the years, I've used the stock browsers, Dolphin, Firefox, Opera, Maxthon, Boat and Chrome. None is perfect but the best of them is Chrome. Dolphin used to be great but it's bloated now with crap. Chrome isn't perfect but the Beta version right now is as close as it gets.

Chrome Beta, for number of reasons.

As said above, I like cross OS sync of history, bookmarks and passwords. It's just easy to move around and carry on surfing where I left off, whether on ipad, desktop, laptop or phone.

I like Bandwidth Management. I have monthly limit of 2GB data plan. Surfing a lot out of wifi zones, can quickly eat into the plan. The BM reduces my usage easily by 45%. So I have double the surfing, and it's blasting fast.

I love the ability to control and switch on/off number of cool, experimental features through chrome://flags , like the new gestures, tabs etc...

And most importantly, being an Android OS enthusiast, I simply want all, or as many apps as possible, to work within one ecosystem. So my data is consolidated and backed up/sync across all my devices.

Current favorite is FF. I use it on my PC and laptop as well, so syncing everything between the three is great. Have only tried stock, Chrome, and FF on the S4 and FF wins for me. They all have their downfalls though. On my last two phones I liked the stock better.

firefox and chrome are both good and i would recommend either to anyone. Boat browser is also quite good and if you want to try something new I would recommend it

I use and love Dolphin. The only reason I don't use Chrome is because the way it's setup when you first open it is stupid. I hate it and for me it's not user friendly at all.

Also move thread to a more appropriate forum since the thread is not S4 specific. ;)

I have a number of browsers installed right now, and have been switching back and forth between them all trying to figure out what works best for which use. I have Firefox and Opera on both my phone and the desktop, but haven't been able to get sync to work on either one. On Firefox it ended up wiping the desktop profile the couple of times I tried it, and I had to restore from a backup. So I haven't been excited to try that again. Opera seemed like it worked, but not everything came across.

I've also been using Dolphin, and more recently an open source browser called Lightning that I came across in F-Droid. So far I like Lightning a lot, although I'm having trouble putting my finger on what exactly I like about it. It starts quickly and the UI feels a bit more like a desktop, but still not bloated.

Voted for Chrome.

It's always been my preferred browser for both computer and phone, although that could be because I rarely use others and am used to it.

I'm finding that I'm using Opera at the moment, Naked Browser when I want something light. Sometimes FF.

Was a big user of Boat on my last device, but wanted to try a couple that I couldn't run on that phone.

Not really using Chrome. Hard to say why, but I've always been a bit cool towards it. Maybe it's just too tied into Google for my tastes.

dolphin and boat. Never heard of them but will look. Which one doesn't keep tabs on you like Google does? I know firefox is good but if it doesn't synch, I don't want to put that on my phone.

I've been using Dolphin and the stock browser the most. I know Chrome is very popular but I don't use it, on a PC or phone/tablet. I did try it but didn't really like the look of it. On my PCs I use Firefox.

To sync FF:
Open FF on PC, go to options/sync, and set it up on pc.
Then on phone do the same thing, get the code from phone.
Go back to pc and go to pair a device, enter code, and they snyc up.

Naked Browser Pro
lite - fast - safe - very small in size
i have use all the others and has lic for a few but after trying this browser i was sold on it for my uses

I use Dolphin and Boat mostly. The only reason I do not use Chrome is there is no easy bookmark access.
