Root Favorite Rom?

The new sense features are pretty nice, but the ROM is just too buggy, i couldnt even make a phone call on it. the MIUI is pretty dope. has promise but isnt fully there yet for me.
 
I'm running Virtuous 3.0.1, but I just tried out IncDoes w/ the new Sense...can't wait for it to be stable so it can be put in Virtuous! :P
 
MIUI makes all other ROMs seem boring. Yes, I hate the Iphone too, but it does have some very nice features that seem almost "must have" once you've used them. MIUI brings together the best of both worlds imo and it's only the beginning. Props to the chinese devs that put that together tho. Complete overhaul!
 
IncDoesSense "Desire HD" v0.3.1 is up on Rom Manager now. It's great to have all those new sense features now. :)
 
When MIUI is completely polished, and I have time to mess with it, that'll probably be a ROM i mess with for awhile.

Until then, SkyRaider is pretty dope.

This sunday I am going to install every single ROM and see which really grabs me.

Got any suggestions for me??
 
i still can't find anything i like more than cm6 w/ kings #1 aosp kernel. i go speed then stability then features so that works well for me.

ruby would be a close second and then skyraider 3.0 vanilla.
 
+1 more for Virtuous. I'm on 2.6 right now, not sure if there's any reason for me to update.

But I seriously don't like Sense, so as good as Virtuous is, I plan to ditch it as soon as the vanilla roms get all the crap working.
 
On another note...I just played around with the Desire HD port from Incdoes and the new sense is soooooo awesome...I really love it. However, due to no camera I will wait until the Z port comes out and hopefully it will have a working camera. I also flashed one of the EVO framework ROMS and this was pretty awesome as well but I am back on Virtuous 3.0.1. A lot of promising development going on for the Incredible and I am loving it!
 
Virtuous with the rEVOlution theme.

I really want to try some of the AOSP/CM type ROMs, but each time I do I find myself missing a bunch of stuff. For example, backup manager or easily linking my contact list to Facebook.
 
ive been using Virtuous 3.0.1 with the custom kernel v2 battery saving options... with the screen brightness turned way down.. .battery lasted me 2 FULL days with moderate-slightly heavy use.
 
Ran FrankenROM with BFS #2 for awhile and this past weekend I switched over to RedemptionROM.

FrankenROM was fantastic, especially with the BFS kernal running on it. Fast, good on the battery with no issues whatsoever.

Have only had a couple days on Redemption but I'm really liking what I am seeing so far. I'm going to give it a week before I load a new kernel and possibly a theme.

Also used CM6 and Shadow, good ROM's but personally I'm just not a fan of Vanilla ROM's.
 
Recently switched from Virtuous 3 to Uncommon Sense with KK5. One word........Unbelievable.

I love Uncommon Sense. Speed, stable and great battery.

You seem to hop around a lot, which is good ... of the Sense roms/kernal combos you have tried, which is your fav so far and why?

Yeah; I do R&D systems engineering work (should be read I get to play with expensive computer hardware every day) as my honest wage. Shockingly in my free time I enjoy playing around with this kind of stuff.

I've only used the two Sense ROM's, and don't feel I've used Redemption long enough yet for a good review. FrankenROM was a fantastic ROM. I think my phone may have had some issues with the kingskernal I used because some problems crept in after install, but nothing too serious.

Give me a couple more days with Redemption and I'll give a good review; but so far I am very impressed. I would recomend both of these any day for users to install.

Would it be possible to list the advantages to using KK5 over the custom kernal built into Virtuous package?

or is that a dumb question? (sorry, still new to the kernal game)
