Root Fax from laptop using Tethered Droid

I am using my Rooted Droid Eris, with Wireless Tether, as a WiFi Hotspot for my Laptop and iPod Touch. My Laptop has no Modem and I need to Fax documents daily from the area where I am workiing.

Can I use my Tethered Droid as a Modem and Fax documents from my Laptop to Fax Machines at remote sites around town or outside my city?
