Fear of KitKat?

Just to clarify, where did you transfer files to and from?
Internal memory to SD card?
Internal memory to PC via wifi? USB?
SD card to PC via wifi? USB?

here's what a friend of mine was just told "samsung released the update (kk) but the android programming was outsourced for the new software and they screwed up the compatibility of the s4 and note 3.they did the work before those phones were released with the new interface". he was told this by someone at att.
doesn't sound right to me but i'll let the forums check it out.

Tried Airdroid and successfully transferred files.....it works.

Interesting. Just to be sure, between two unrelated directories, correct?

I thought this whole thread was based on apps being confined to their own sandbox. Interesting.

Keep in mind that the S4 could always do more with microSD than other Android phones running the same OS. I don't remember which Android OS started placing more restrictions on microSD, but as I recall after a point most phones could no longer download apps to microSD.

Anyway, Samsung may get around some of these limitations with their version of KK.

I'm thinking that (not moving apps to the SD card) was a JB feature that was addressed later on in JB development.
