So far as I know, the Thunderbolt lacks the optical trackpad - but - if it's like my Evo, you'll only miss it at first - that was my personal experience.
The HTC touch keyboard has arrow keys for moving while editing, their touchscreens tend to be amazingly responsive, and pinch to zoom will help ease the burden as well.

Anyone have a screenshot of the arrows you speak of?

Speaking of features, anyone want to explain the whole sim card deal? I know that AT&T uses them, but I didn't think that Verizon used them in any of their phones. Is it just due to the 4g setup, or will they be incorporated into all new phones?
