Fed Ex lost my HTC Incredible

Finally you get some decent news. They need to also send you a GC for $25 for the run-around. I would definitely recommend you stay home, or have someone stay home. I guess if they deliver on a Saturday it won't be too late. Enjoy!

They need to credit his bill for next 2 months for the run around. Also hope they same driver is working then. He'll know not to make THAT mistake again.

YAY! Congratulations! See, with some persistence and hard work we can accomplish anything if we put our minds to it.

Can we take some credit ;) jk.

All you. I'm definitely really happy for ya.

Boy those meth heads are going to be bummed out when they take it to a store to activate and the rep tells them they have a $600 paperweight!

Last fall my car was broken into (over halloween weekend, so I assume kids). They didn't break any windows (I probably forgot to lock it, like an idiot), but stole my the faceplate from my radio and some other things. Like my can of pepper spray. I really hope they maced themselves.

you need now is a cold beer and your PC. Relax, Drink and Root! Make sure to update us on Saturday.

Make that a ROOT beer. :p

That is great news!! This phone is definitely worth it.

Well, I think all the trouble he had to go through is complete and utter BS, especially the part about the stupid @$$wipe neighbors, but I completely agree that the phone is definitely nice.

I'm glad to hear that things seem to be clearing up now, but it still bothers me to know that your @$$hat neighbors are possibly still in possession of what should have been yours to begin with. I always thought... hmmm maybe you should post up their address and they'll receive a complementary surprise, courtesy of all your friends on AF... LOL

Jay just called me back. Said he can't get phone out today.

BUT, he could get it out tomorrow for Saturday delivery at no special cost to me for weekend delivery. :)

BUT, I would have to pay for the phone and be reimbursed. I nearly fell out of my chair. He put me on hold for about 10 seconds and apologized saying the claim will take care of the cost of the replacement phone. :) I told him he almost gave me a heart attack. He apologized again.

I asked to speak with his supervisor and told her that I wanted to sing Jay's praises. I told her a brief summary of my woes and she thanked me for taking the time to speak with her. She also apologized for my troubles and hoped that I enjoy my new phone.

So, I will let ya'll know if I receive my phone on Saturday. I may sit outside all day watching for the FedEx truck in case he tries to deliver it to a neighbor again. :p

Wow that's awesome! :) I hope everything works out for you and you get your Incredible ASAP! It's a wonderful phone and you should love it.

Sweet! What a relief! I wanted to punch something following this thread. You will forget about the extra wait once you're staring at it for 8 hours waiting on its first charge. The waits ALMOST over! Get laid tonight.

LOL! I'll tell my wife you said that. :D

On a side note, the local news just said a babysitter is in trouble for taking little kids to a Rated R movie. I wonder if it's the babysitter from down the street. LOL :D
No, the babysitter in your case would have taken the kids to a local thug hang out to learn the finer points of stealing other's property. Watching a rated R movie with younger children would seem too tame to her!

I just saw this thread today  At first I was sad for you, then angry for you, furious for you, and now happy for you! :)

I have been with VZW since 2002 and had my first issue with them ordering my DInc. I learned that it really depends who you talk to on the phone. I hate that, but you learned it to be true also.

I have a buddy who drives for FedEx. Half of your problem is FedEx drivers own their route and almost operate independently of corporate. Of course there are rules and such, but the cost of your phone would probably be eaten by the driver or route owner, which is why they were so helpful. :D

You'll probably never know where your original phone is. You probably don't care now, but I'm curious! :p

I gotta say, my heart broke for you over the first few days of this saga. I am extremely happy that you have this resolved. I had originally wanted the DInc, and even though I have since picked up a DroidX, I think it is great you are finally getting the phone you desire. :D

You should still burn their house down and trap them all inside with a phone that's locked and cannot dial 911. Just a thought.

So, Fed Ex website said delivered package to my house today. But, it was signed by someone not my wife who was at home at the time. About an hour ago, the Fed Ex driver comes to my door and admits to delivering it to the wrong address. The resident at the other address says the babysitter must have signed for it this morning and she didn't leave the package there. The Fed Ex driver is supposed to go back in the morning to see if the babysitter brings the phone back.

So, here's my dilemma. If by some chance Fed Ex can't retrieve the package in the morning, should I wait another month for another HTC Incredible or should I get a different one that may be in stock now? I've already waited a month for this one and hate to think about having to wait for another month.

go get the droid x it better

go get the droid x it better

He already stated he didn't want the X.

I've read some reviews and it has some serious issues.

Very laggy and slow software - delayed camera. Motorola locked it so you will never be able to early upgrade to Froyo or gingerbread.

Good story joefrog.. You are awesome!!

I believe I'm almost out of popcorn. :(

Maybe you should follow tluv00's advice, I need some heat to make some more popcorn! :D

...........
In my younger, wilder days, I would have already thrown a brick through the neighbor's car windshield.
.....

Screw that - you don't want to commit any crimes yourself. Since you *are* in Waco, just call the FBI and let them pop some grenades into the neighbor's house and cook 'em alive. bwahahahahaha:eek:

Sorry you had to go through hell on this - Great story though.

Well, no happy ending for me. I called Verizon again today because I realized I didn't have a tracking number for the new package. The rep I spoke with this morning said, "There is no way Jay could have promised you a phone that is not available." I couldn't believe it. No notes in my account indicating a phone would be delivered today. Only notes in account said a new order was submitted for late August delivery.

So, I'm back to getting a refund. The Verizon rep said the initial refund request was never canceled. So, that is still in their system. I told her I didn't care because I was going to get my credit card company to file a fraud claim against them.

I called my credit card company and they are giving me a credit for the amount of the phone and will notify Verizon of the dispute. So, at least I have my money back now.

Just so tired of being lied to by all of the people I spoke with. This ordeal started bad then I thought it was resolved only to have the rug pulled from underneath me. I'm sick.
