Root Few Cyanogen Rom Issues

[Barats]

Just got through flashing the rom and am now playing with it. I am using LauncherPro and now came across a few issues.

Under the accounts and sync, it has my facebook but only as my email, not my name. I know it's probably no big deal but when I go to sync my contacts, their photos do not show on my phone. And some of the people are not even on there. And there is nothing like with the Sense rom where it has a little thing that says link and you press it and it does it. It seems it is not syncing all their info to my contacts. Anyone know about this?

Also there was nothing I saw that I could have stuff like my stocks, news/weather and other accounts synced. Just FB, Twitter and Gmail.

But the thing I loved was how my phone synced with FB and as users changed photos, it would change it to that on my contacts. This does not seem to be doing that.

1) That's because HTC has their own Facebook service (Facebook for HTC Sense) that links contacts and syncs pictures. That's not available with AOSP. There might be some other way since I last checked, but this should do the trick for you:

SyncMyPix - Android app on AppBrain

The same goes for stocks, news, and weather. They are all part of HTC Sense. CM is AOSP, and has no Sense elements whatsoever.

Ahhh. Gotcha! Thanks.

Yeah it seems to have trouble syncing up. That's one thing I need to see if I can deal with. I liked that about Sense.
