Root few questions on rooting phone

ok i going to root the triumph with gingerbreak just to get some bloatware frozen using titanium backup and might change other things in the future but a couple of noob questions.

how do you make to make backup of your phone

would it be best to do factory reset on the phone (as i got some apps on at the moment and then root the phone then back up
or can i back the phone up with all my apps on .

any info would be appreciated.

You don't need to factory reset.

Right now I see no advantage to root. I dont see a reliable WifI Tether app that works and the phone has so much internal storage that "bloatware" isnt an issue for me.

For now, Id rather leave as stock and not worry about the root messing up any official updates that may come along....
