Root ffc all the way broken

No matter what rom I use the front camera doesn't seem to work. At first when I was on stock I figured it was because of the rom, but then after I flashed cm7 and then miui it still doesn't work. It will load at first then it starts to freeze up and then says it can't connect, in the case of miui the camera app doesn't work at all now after trying to use the front camera. What could be wrong?

If it did not work on stock, then you probably have a hardware issue and I'd suggest getting a replacement.
