Fiio LU1 Adapter Cable

anybody using one of these with their One X or experience with them?

Just ordered one as my Denon headphones' inline remote doesn't function with my new phone and I'd really like toget back to using it as its a pain in the ass having to whip the phone out to skip tracks when on my bike

thanks

I feel your pain, I'm exactly the same!

I've not tried the cable, but what player are you using? Poweramp has an add on that allows you to shake the phone and it will skip to the next track, this works whilst the phone is in your pocket and you're on a bike.

I'm just using the stock music player, I havent tried any others yet but thanks for the tip I guess theres options if this doesn't work.

For 6quid it's worth a crack

just wanted to point out this cable does not work

or atleast not with my Denon headphones with iPhone remote and my htc One X

:(

Not good :(

I gave up looking for headphones/controls that will work, I've a Pause/Play button, that sort of does me. Everything is geared towards the iPhone.....

Fwiw, I'm led to believe even the Beats headphones with forward/back controls don't work either.

I use the Samsung HS3000 BT headset with my One X when exercising, it has Apt-X so sound quality is basically equivalent to wired up to ~370kbps stereo sound, and it has full bluetooth AVRCP support for control of volume/play/pause/skip/reverse. Might be worth looking at guys?

If you check reviews for the HS3000 disregard the comments on audio quality, I did see a single review where the source was Apt-X capable so all the reviews merely reference BT 2.0 SQ with it's known low bandwidth and lossy audio quality for music.

The HS3000 is cheap, but also a nice versatile solution, since you can use whichever headsets you like with it. I used my Sony buds when exercising, but have the option of using my open-backed headphones at home (not that the One X is good enough to drive any of them) or even a stereo or speaker with a 3.5mm input.

acidstrato, sorry for the bump, is it just the forward/back buttons that don't work, can you still answer calls? If the answer call button works, you might want to take a look at N7Player?

I picked that up earlier and you can set it so that triple clicking & Long pressing the answer call button can skip forward/backward. It's only a couple of quid, but well worth a look in.

interesting sounds good

the remote on my headphones has 3 buttons 2 are Vol+ and Vol- and these don't do anything on the htc. The other was a multi function button i.e press once to pause, twice to skip forward etc.. it had about a dozen combos on the iPhone.

on my htc it pauses tracks with one press. But press it twice and it calls the number thats top of my recent calls list lol. which was annoying when I found out, me riding along with my music blaring when suddenly some random person says Hello lol
Strangely the standard htc headphones with 1 button do exactly the same?

so i dont understand why you'd want that calling feature but hey ho

I'll give that nPlayer a try cheers El Presidente

No problem! It's an unusual interface, but pretty feature packed and I didn't have to mess about too much with the EQ to get a sound I was happy with.

The trial lasts a couple of days so should be long enough to decide whether or not it'll do the job. :)
