Root file downloading failed

just tried to download a rom to flash on my slider and it instantly says fail...tried it several times and continues to say fail. any ideas?

In the recovery when you get to the "install zip from sd card" option, after selecting it you will see several options. Select "toggle signature verification". You will get a signature verification on message. Go back and select "toggle signature verification". You will get a "signature verification off mesage.

Now continue with the ROM install by selecting the "select zip from sd card" option.

Tried that an thought it worked but it won't download files it will download images from google an things from the market and myxer but not files. Instantly says failed

Go back into the recovery and wipe the cache partition and the dalvik cache (advanced section).
