File Transfer Hangup

Hi, I am trying to transfer a video file that is 477MB to my Samsung Galaxy Note 32GB Memory Card but for some reason I try to transfer the file it says that it is transfering the file but it gets stuck at like 4:30 of the transfer process. When I take the video file to transfer to my phone it says convert and transfer recommended in which case I do and then it gets stuck at the same 4 minutes and 30 seconds in. I do not understand why this file will not transfer to my phone at all. The phone is converting it from a MP4 to a WMV. My SD card states that it has 20.2GB free of 29.7.GB

I do not understand why this video will not transfer to my phone, the only thing I can think of is perhaps I do not have enough space available on the SD card itself, but if I try to transfer it to my phones internal memory it still gets stuck for some reason, and my phone memory is 10.7GB of 10.8GB.

Might be running out of memory rather than disk space - 477MB is quite a big file and I'm not sure how well the Android app manages memory.

The easiest option would probably be to convert the file on your PC then transfer it. You may be able to do the conversion in Windows Media Player, failing that there are plenty of converstion tools available on PC.

BTW, are you sure the phone is converting from MP4 to WMV and not the other way around? I would have thought the phone would be more likely to play MP4 than WMV (given you'd have to pay Microsoft to be able to use WMV).

Ok so I got the file transered over to my phone after I deleted off some other video files that I no longer wanted. Yes I am sure that it is converting the MP4s into WMV.
