Root File transfer slow after root

Hi there,

I have Android 4.2.2 stock and i have successfully rooted the phone.

Before i rooted the phone i copied my pictures. music and sms backups over to my computer. I also took a backup using adb command to backup my apps.

Now i restored my apps/settings using the adb command but whenever i try and copy the files e.g pictures, music over to my phone i get an error "the phone is disconnected" and the file transfer process is taking really long.

I have tried both PTP and MTP settings. What do you advise i should do please? I would really appreciate if somebody could help me please.

Thanks in advance,

PS i am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

Quick update, disconnected my phone from pc. i shut down my phone switched it back on. Restarted my pc, reconnected the phone and everything worked again properly. The only folder i couldnt copy over was the "WhatsApp" folder. Any reasons why? Thanks.
