Basically stock just rooted, already did my nandroid backup and a backup with titanium, and am wanting to switch to apex to give it a test run... do i need to wipe anything or will it just install right over or what??
thanks in advance

I installed apex w/o a wipe, but would like to hear others chime in too (cache wiping is one item im not entirely understanding yet)

Always wipe Data and Cache before installing custom roms.

You can restore Apps and their data following the Apex install using Titanium Backup. As far as System data goes, just restore things such as Browser Bookmarks, Bluetooth Pairings, but don't restore everything.

I miss my big music widget already....it seems a bit faster already but dunno if im gonna stick with it... might switch to see what's out there.... I love having the power to do this

You don't have to miss your widget.

Follow the instructions in the top of the ApeX thread to switch back to the Motorola music player and your widget will be there.

Always give a new rom or OTA update a day to settle down. Any time you change a lot of apps or clear your cache, it's going to take a while to get a normal speed back.

Terminal emulator lets you type commands to change a couple things for Apex.

WidgetLocker will let you have any style lock you want, add widgets to your lock screen and have a different background.
