Root finally pulled the trigger

Having had my captivate since sept I just couldn't wait for att/samsung to get 2.2 on it. By the time that would have happened I probably would have lost all the rest of the hair that I have.
I finally pulled the trigger and installed cog 3.4. The installation went fine and everything is working properly at this time. My only concern/question is that when on 2.1 my captivate had 6? home screens available, but it seems cog 3.4 only has 3 home screens. Did I do something wrong or is that just a characteristic of cog? 3 screens just aren't enough to organize all my apps that I have.
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks from a newbee.

Have you checked in Preferences for Number of Screens? I use LauncherPro and under Preference and Home Screen setting there a place to indicate the Number of Screens you want. Your Launcher may have same option.

Thanks for all your help, I didn't know I could go into launcher pro settings and change the number of screens. Now I have my real estate back!

First off, welcome to the rooted/custom rom community.

Secondly, there is another known issue in Cognition 3.04 with the "Contacts" icon in the dock where if you were in the Contacts and pressed the "Back" button, it does not return to your home screen. I wrote up the steps to fix that in a recent blog post:
