Yeah its gonna be fk'n awesome!!! I'll probably wait and see if a rebate shows up before buying it though, seems like I always buy the day they come out and then shortly after I cry because others got a deal Lmmfao!!!

The Galaxy S III news is great
but I don't think we're going to see a rebate anytime soon. MetroPCS usually takes their time to sell their phones regular price for obvious reasons. I would like to wait for a rebate, but that would literally take months.LightenLhar

The drawing is on the 4th, followed by mailing in to the HQ with a self addressed and stamped envelope that they return to you with your prize. The price is probably right, but the people who actually win them will probably get them a good week or two after the phone actually comes out. Thankfully, I have somebody I can sell my connect to as soon as the SIII comes out who are just waiting to get a nice phone on the cheap 
I would say I expect it around 400, but given the price they're currently trying to sell the lightray for, it probably WILL be $400.
Anybody else see if they're going to be offering the different colors on metro? I saw somewhere they just recently offered 4 new colors on the phone, and I would much prefer a black one over the white, or even the grey over a white phone.

Yeah my boy has his own store also and he said $500 or so and that it should be out on Oct 15th. What's your dad say about the release date?
Due to metros coverage and the price of the sgs3, I will most likely switch to verizon and just get the sgs3 with a real network behind it. The whole reason I am on metro is to save money, and if the sgs3 is going to be 300 bucks more than the vzw version (cant blame em I know how subsidized phones work) the whole upgrade would be pointless. at ~30 to 40 bucks more a month, I can get decent coverage and basically pay the same price after a year or so. The more I read about the sgs3 the more I want one, but Im not paying 500 for a phone that has a lousy network behind it.
Don't get me wrong Id love to stay on metro but with the cost of good phones being so high and the coverage being so lousy (in MI at least) its an easy no brainer for me....time to upgrade to a real carrier.

Thats cool bro, but before talking about lousy coverage, we dont have know clue how this phone is going to run on metro coverage It might shock alot of us or it may not, so lets wait and see, but you can still switch to verizon tho.

As you guys can see from my phone history I was with verizon for two years. The last six months the coverage sucked ass. I asked the person in the store one day and he said it's because everyone is on 4g now so the system gets clogged. Um if everyone is on 4g then i would think it freed up 3g no? Anyways i decided to try metro out and it's 4g coverage has been great for me. I've traveled to az and vegas and have never had any dead spots. Maybe its different over there in the east coast but i can tell you its way faster then verizon 3g here. From what i understand Verizon don't even have unlimited data anymore . Switch if you want but think hard and well before you sign a contract.

Nope its exact same flagship phone. Price kind of confirmed to be 499.99. And release date is not confirmed and dont believe anyone either just wait for the official release. Everyone is just bullshitting in the metropcs forums. And also the phone will come with ICS I think. Burn me once shame on you. Brun me 2x shame on me. I have already paid top dollar for the Indulge and connect cuz at one time they were the next best thing. I won't do it again. The service i get it so Florida is not that great. You guys that wanna drop dollars more power to ya but not me.

Lmmfao!!! Yeah I got the indulge the day it was released too lol!!but this time I'm not getting the s3 the day it comes out, I'm gonna wait a little
oh and I only paid $99 for this connect so I've only got burnt once.Im with you on this one im pissed that i got the connect and paid top dollar for it, what a disappointment. Im going to get the motion third of the price and will be perfect for what I would use it for.

well ladies and gents im beginning to rethink getting the s3. still psyched about it but theres already rumors of better phones coming to metro beginning of 2013. now this was never an issue for me because metro phones hold their value pretty darn good for resale however with tmobile and the latest phones coming to metro not sure how thats going to hold. we'll see

Wait....so when the sg3 comes out its going to magically make metro put up more towers to cover the massive black holes of lousy coverage? Doubt it.....Lol. it might run a bit faster 4g wise but the coverage won't change all.
Lucky for me I read these Forums because I was going to purchase a Connect for my first Android-'till I read about short battery life and frying eggs with phone overheating......
So I waited and got the Motion-great deal.
I understand how people may pause on the S3 .
Also -Metro and T Mobile need to reassure customers if possible/believable ,IMO that the
Metro Brand and Plans will remain BEYOND 2015 to insure the value of the Merged Company.
Common sense, right ?
Reception /internet speed in South Florida on Motion is excellent even inside grocery stores and Home Depot etc.- I assume Galaxy will be excellent also.
So I waited and got the Motion-great deal.
I understand how people may pause on the S3 .
