I have had my Captivate on loan-out to my sister for 3 months after I bought myself a Nexus 4. Now that she got a Nexus, I got my Captivate back and decided to experiment with it, since it is no longer my primary phone.
I rooted it and installed CM 10.1. Holy *******. It works so much better now. I wish I had done this a year ago when I bought the thing. It would have made the user experience so much better.
Also, my power button(the reason I originally bought my Nexus) randomly started working again. wtf.
