FINALLY getting my Samsung Fascinate tomorrow!! What did you guys do when you first got yours? I'll probably download LauncherPro right when I get it :P So excited :D !

Also, most Verizon premium retailers should have the Fascinate, right?
 
The first thing I did was text my brother and tell him I got a new phone.
He called my parents are got all jealous 'cause I got a new phone and he didn't.

It wasn't 'til like a week later I started coming to forums and looking at ways to customize it.
 
Probably, doesn't really matter what we think though. My local Verizon never sold out of Fascinates, like they did with Incredibles and DX's.
 
First thing I did was brought it home and rooted/de-binged it for my husband. He decided he hated it, went back to his Droid, and I snagged the Fascinate to replace my Eris. I've been customizing it ever since.
 
I downloaded a bunch of apps (including LP+) and proceeded to root, install clockwork, de-bing/de-bloat, run an overclocked/low voltage kernel and customize my bootup/shutdown animations and sounds. Got it just perfect...for now :D

i had an interesting 24 hours with mine.

root, clockwork, voodoo...semi-brick....0.00 internal storage...install sdk on work computer to get adb to nuke voodoo....back to stock :)

really i think with any android phone for me its root, recovery, overclock (or custom kernel of some kind) and theme!
