Root finding .apk files to install on CM7 Nook

Some Market apps will not download and install to my CM7 Nook. I successfully found and loaded Netflix this way, but that was from a specific link (from a post on this site) to get the .apk file and then install manually. Specifically I want the Tripit and Delta airlines apps, but they won't download to the tablet and the only option from my PC is to "install" which sends it to my phone. How do I get the apps to manually install?

What I normally do is download the app to my phone backup with ES file explorer then upload the APK to my dropbox and download and install to my nook from there. I think there are some Bluetooth file transfer apps out there like bump but I have never tried them with my nook. You can always just Google search for the apk a lot of them are online.

Install DropBox on your pc and NC. I don't trust it for anything sensitive, but works fine for this kind of thing.

I usually just log into Market on my pc and install from there. I have a DroidX and NC, both with the same account and when I install, it confirms which one. You have to log in with the same Google account as the device.

I just tried the Tripit app in the Market (from my PC). It said the app was compatible with all of my devices, and when I pressed the Install button it gave them the choice of the NC.
So I, once again, agree with Colchiro. I do use the same Google account on both my phone and the NC. If you happen to use two different accounts, make sure you're logged in with the one you use on the NC.

For what it's worth, the Delta app showed my nook, but said it was incompatible. I took 1JOD's advice and messed around with ES explorer for awhile- phone backup, transfer to PC, transfer to Nook, then install with ES and it worked. A hassle, but I'll be glad to have it on there next trip. Thanks to all.

Have you modified your build.prop file? Changed the dpi? Changed it to get Netflix or something else to work?

Are you using the new market? It has issues with the nook color saying that it is not compatible with a lot of apps.
