Finished Honeycomb by MWC ???

I expect to see some big time ads during SuperBowl for the Verizon Xoom, but really hope to see hands on units available for the media with FINISHED HONEYCOMB 3.0 during the Mobil World Congress (Feb 14-17). Motorola should also announce shipping dates for the Xoom, depending of course, on a finished Honeycomb. If we don't see the finished product at MWC, then we are in trouble. Watch out for the Ipad 2.

Well, obviously Matias Duarte didn't put up any fight about being ready by February, during his interview with Engadget. He didn't even really skate around the possibility. He did say that there were a few surprises left, which I think they're either going to unveil at Mobile World Congress or some press event they're planning on having themselves.

Overall, MWC has had some decent announcements in the past. Google had a keynote last year, and showed off Flash for Android as well as Voice Search. Also, in Motorola's Press Section of their website, their next event is MWC, so obviously they'll be there. Eric Schmidt from Google is already a confirmed keynote speaker for 2011, so maybe that's where the announcement will be made.

Who knows, but I guess we'll find out in about 24 days.

Google music would be a great announcement. We've seen hints for cloud syncing.

How about "Google Media", which includes movies/tv for purchase or rental? They need a one stop shop for the general public in order to compete with itunes and the samsung media hub on the Galaxy Tabs.

What good is a kick ass 16:10 ratio 720p hd screen with hdmi output if you can't easily load movies onto it? Yes, I know how to rip and convert my dvds using handbrake, but does the general public? I hope that the Mechanic movie advertisements in the moto webpage are indicative of something more than just than just product placement.

I strongly believe that the Xoom will one of the main focuses @ MWC.

We didn't get to see Honeycomb in all its finished state.
More features on the way, and what better place and time to debut Honeycomb in its entirety, but the MWC!
Talk about exposure and advertising!

I'm going to be like a kid watching transformers for the first time

(waiting for final pricing details) This will be the thing that makes or breaks this devices success. The hardware and OS looks good, pricing on the other hand...
