FireDroid tablet

I like my firedroid alot. I'm rooted and have android market running fine. When I click on apps on web pages it goes to amazon market. Is there a way to have this device picked up as an android tablet instead of a kindle? I want a stand alone firedroid with no amazon interaction unless I go to their website. Is that possible? Can't wait for the ROMs and the annoying wallpaper switching problem to be fixed.
 
"FireDroid." Interesting combination of Kindle Fire and LucasFilm's "Droid" trademark that only Verizon licenses to brand some of their phones.
