Help Firefox app killing battery.

I have both firefox and chrome installed on my GS2, and I prefer firefox, but find that it kills my battery due to extreme cpu usage, even when I'm not using it.

Sometime when running firefox, I will notice my phone slow down a lot and the browser will crash. Other times, it works fine, I hit the home button, and I have no problems until a few minutes later and I find that, in the background, firefox is using 40%+ cpu, killing the battery.

Once I had set my phone on the charger over night (phone was at 50%, left firefox open in the background accidentally), and when I got up my phone, still charging, had 7% battery left...

Any ideas? I haven't been able to find anything on the web about this.

I have a great idea: get rid of Firefox :D

Have you checked you have the latest version of Firefox? If so, it may be worth submitting a bug report to Firefox.
