Firefox app

I find text selection to be problematic with all the long press fuctions in stuff, always takes longer then it should for me in ICS to getti to select what I want more so that there is no master "clipboard" like in windows.

it should be a core function of Android and not an app thing to fix it right.

Apparently text selection is available in Firefox Beta and not regular Firefox.

That's right. My tablet, for whatever reason, is not compatible with the new version so I'm using the Beta.

On my phone, though, I have the full release FF and you're right. It won't allow text selection and copy/paste.

That sux.

Android does have a 'master clipboard' like Windows. It's just up to each app to enable use of it.

Well they should all just default to it, unless it doesn't work that great so they bypass it.

why I stopped even trying to use copy and paste, I was not able to keep what I had "copied" aviable for more then a min or two or during an app change to paste it elsewhere it was now gone.

I can click copy in windows and unless you reboot, that info stays put and can be pasted anywhere you can paste txt. Or not even txt, even images and file will stay put til lthe next time copy is used.

I've noticed that for certain features(like text selection) I end up using the default browser. Almost redundant to have other browsers if I end up needing the default. I do however use Firefox on occasion because on my nexus it seems to load pages quicker. That's only if I'm looking up something to read. other than that default for me is a winner. it works and hasn't given me any issues.

After a couple of days, decided I don't like it too much and ended up going back to stock Samsung browser. For some reason, it works so much smoother now than when I last used it, but that was a couple of updates before (last used it on Froyo).

tried FF browser, but it seems to lack a key feature, text reflow so that if you zoom in, the text adjusts to fill the lines.
also, does not default to mobile versions of sites.
Samsung Vibrant on Froyo.
