Help Firmware ke7 issue(s)....

So today I updated from ke4 to ke7 ota. The only thing I've noticed is that the sms skin option is missing, and I'm now stuck on that horrid blue and yellow bubble mess. Urgh.
Anyone else have this happen to them?
Also, does anyone have a link to a changelog coz I can't for the life of me figure out what's changed. I assume its just a bunch of little tweaks prior to the 2.3.4 update.

yeah, the message app themes are gone, for all future updates it seems. crazy, i know. 2.3.4 is already out, if ur interested in flashing.. there are many newer updates than KE7..

Nah, not really interested in flashing. Quite happy to stay 'on the grid', as it were. It does seem bizarre that the sms skins are gone though. Oh well, c

firmwares that are available on the thread i linked are 100% stock samsung firmware and very much on the grid just stick to the official ones in the list (XXKG5 is the newest official) and u can still upgrade via kies once ur region gets a newer one. flashin via odin just gets u updates faster

Oh I understand the theory, and I thank you for your post. The fact is though that I don't have a pc. Never have. I've maintained my online presence over the years with various phones, smart and dumb. Banking, correspondance, Amazon Vine, Shopping, Social media, Music, the works. I maintain that the average person doesn't 'need' a pc at all.

Unless they wanna use Kies to update their SGS2 fw that is. lol.

But yeah, thanks for the post.. just not possible for me.

I complained about this last week. Strange why an update would take off the feature.
Try handcent or go sms pro. These both have highly configurable options for this

Thanks, yeah I looked at both go-sms pro and handcent. Just need to decide between the two. .....probably just flip a coin. lol.
