Help Firmware problems

good day, new to the forums and just like to ask some help regarding my s2 firmware version and gingerbread version.

im from Philippines and i bought my s2 sim free from seoul korea last week.

Problems when i got home:

when sending sms i always need to input my number as sender.
when making a reply to sms message always fails, i need to make a new message input recipient add my number then send.

My phone doesnt have a voice control just like in the commercial

My location cannot be determined even with wifi connection

I can receive call and sms without problems, btw my s2 has a retractable antenna unit on the upper right side of the unit.

Is there any way to change my firmware? I tried updating but the problems are still there. Pre installed software has no use since the language is in korea.

Help please. Very dissapointed with my unit

To fix your SMS problems maybe you need to put your APN details in the phone for your carrier.
I would like to see a photo of the retractable antennae.

As far as I'm aware, nothing like that here in the UK Can you post a pic?

Dorgas, looks to me like you've bought a fake S2, not a real one. I haven't heard of any phone with a retractable antennae for ages, and i'm pretty sure that no version of the S2 would have one.

I believe that the Korean model does have the extractable antenna,do a google search for confirmation and pop over to the XDA forums to see if they can assist you as well.

Nope my unit is not fake, bought it from samsung mobile in Seoul. I have a bigger problem now; tried to flash my unit using odin and firmware from xda, flashing wont push trough it always gives a fail. What do you guys think i should do? Really nervous now
