if it's up to AT&T and apple doesn't have any firmware updates then i would say mid september.

Considering we've already seen a leaked early debug build, I think the answer is obviously "yes".

its not really up to samsung. they can send the update to at&t when they promised but its at&ts responsibility to release it. im gonna guess itll come out for the captivate around mid october.

I would think, AT&T is just as interested in releasing the fix ASAP as Samsung. People are going to be returning the phone and if your contract is up, switching to Verizon to get one of their Android phones.

The gps fix has nothing to do with ATT. Samsung's tweet said the download will be on their site.

I was wondering the same thing. Everything from Samsung I've seen has only said "September". Have not once seen "first week of Sept".

I agree. They never promised to deliver it on first week of september. My bad . Ignore that "as promised" from the first option
