Help Firmware update not working?

Any time I try to use Samsung Kies to upgrade to the new Jelly Bean, it downloads to firmware components, then just stops. The entire program closes and no update happens. I don't know what's happening!

Kies is slow. I did the small T-Mobile update this week and took almost an hour. It did shut down for about 20 minutes and then started back up and finished. Just let it set for and hour or so.

Soosh i gave up a few times when i got to that part after the download but the fact is it takes a long LONG time so if u wana stick to the official way, make sure the s3 is charged and forget about it for a few hours lol.
im new to samsung too and kept thinkin it was an error till i got distracted.
P.s, it speeds up nearer the end

It might be worth reinstalling the drivers and Kies to the pc then rebooting it 1st....

They stated Security fixes. Was only about 28MB in size.
