hi,
Please find below download links for the Firmware Update ver.2.2 -20110316 for the Superpad2 FlyTouch3.

To install the firmware, download the .zip on a PC from the link below. Extract the contents of the zip on a PC and copy the two files to the root directory of a formatted TF- Flash Card.
The two extracted files must be placed in the root directory of the TF-card. Insert the card in to the Superpad2 FlyTouch3 and power on the tablet. The installation will be automatic.

New Firmware Update_flytouch3

At the moment I observed couple of Changes but dont expect much from this.
1] unlocking and shut down UI changed
2] Annoying Chines pinyin?! keyboard removed left only Android Keyboard( Thank god)
3]had badtime for connecting WIFI , Think wifi signal become weak after update compare to last one ( third release)

Update for above firmware with improved Screen Birghtness.

NEW FIRMWARE UPDATE WITH BRIGHT SCREEN

1] Screen brightness better now
2] Market is still old version , it won't search some app online like skype , dolphine HD . try to install by apk file downloaded from elsewhere or backup your favorite apk's before updating this.

Did anyone test it? know what other changes there are only the unluck and keyboard.
Wifi works fine already so.......
Else it isn't worth upgrading for me.

LaurensBER, First off welcome. Next your issues are our issues. The GPS signal thing might be due to an open webpage or something else trying to use location services. Disable GPS unless in use, it will also help save your battery. The Accelerometer(really G-Sensor) issue is one a lot of people are seeing and may be fixed in future firmware but apparently wasn't tested well. The System Update isn't supposed to work yet according to the people at Apad.tv. Flash...ugh that's another can of worms. Try using Dolphin HD. Try Appbrain for the apps you can't get on the regular market.

Lastly, remember that this is a "value" device and we can try to push the manufacturer's for information but that's about where it ends until we get the ability to put custom ROMs on these devices. Check out my tips thread for a couple more pointers on this device.

Hey,

I have disabled GPS and couldn

Clockworkmod doesn't work on here because it can't overwrite the custom recovery. Yes I do have youtube and google maps. They came as part of the 20110308 firmware. I've never heard of wowreader but I'll check. The biggest thing about this device is that we can't get USB -> PC to work. So no ADB. Since I can't dump the ROM it's hard to work with devs to get a ROM for this thing.

Hmm, we do have terminal acces right? Guess we could try a few tricks in there but right now I

I'll see if I can grab them for you and put them up. There's a post by Mixterz about getting youtube working already on the forum. And as far as I know there is no IRC for flytouch homebrews, just our lovely forum here...and the one on apad.tv and the one on androidtablets.net and the one on xda.

Shouldn't be hard ;) Download astro file manager (or any other file manager) and go to /system/apps and see if you can find the APK's there. You can also check /data/app

I already have Maps working on the FlyTouch (5.1 including shortcut in the menu and GPS/navigation), I'm working on Youtube, webTV and wowReader right now. Hope to get those running soon!

Edit : Managed to dump the Flytouch 2 Gen 1 firmware (3145) results are not very exciting,

Youtube.apk does not work (crash on launch)
eReader.apk does work but is not nearly as nice as the wowReader I had hoped for
WebTV does work but is more china focused
MSN.apk doesn't install
Skype installs and runs (but isn't very exciting)

You can see the wowReader I was hoping to install here : http://www.eee168.com/en/eproducts/ewowsoftware/ewowreader/

I also have the build.prop, might include some interesting information :)

Edit 2 : it seems that the Flytouch 3 is still very much under development. The build.prop is full of test-keys and missing somewhat important information for the market such as device manufacture, brand and so one.

Also explains why I can't see all the apps in the market.

They also disabled adb in the build.prop, no idea if we can hack it in by changing it.

Edit 3 : It seems that wowReader is based on FBReader but a lot prettier, the file contains loads of references to FBReader. Very smart!

Edit 4 : The older build.prop contains everything we need, I

Koti: Thanks again for your rom. Any reason way you didn't share your
Disco_10inch_android2.2_20110316_Bright screen rom?
I'm running it and except for the market problems (which i solved by using amazon), to me it's a great improvment.
Keep up the good work.

I have flytouch 3 ver.2.2 -20110316 rooted with Universalandroot and in my case I do everything as you explain but the firmware update doesn't start automaticly

Somebody know about that problem??
