Hey all,

New to the forum, but I'll be sure to stick around.
So I purchased a Galaxy a few months ago, little did I know there have been firmware updates since release! Awesome :)

I downloaded Samsung PC Studio 3, when I plug my phone in, nothing happens, the software can't find it?

How do I upgrade the firmware?

It's probebly something really easy.

Thanks for your help

It worked like a charm for me.

I uninstalled the previous NPS version first, then downloaded and installed the new version. Make sure you get New_PC_Studio_1.3.0.IJ1.exe - older versions don't work.

After installing and starting NPS, I plugged my Galaxy into the USB, and it was, at long last, recognised. I then click Update, selected 'I7500' as the phone type and we were off to the races.

Where does it all not happen for you?

Okay I get

"The device cannot be searched because the driver has not been installed. TO solve this problem, install either PC Studio or the driver again"?

Does the device have to be in mass storage mode or what?

Also thanks for your help.

you need to enable debug mode by going into settings > applications

Just coming back to say that re-installing has worked. Samsungs site runs you around in circles! What a pain. TBH I have noticed little change to my handset, but it's always good to be on the latest version.

Thanks again guys.

I think the problem was you installed PC studio 3, instead of New PC Studio. Nice naming there samsung :P I wonder whats next, Newer PC Studio, Newest PC Studio....
